Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways you can volunteer at St. Michael’s School throughout the school year!

Do you enjoy working with children?

You can become a Foster Grandparent through the Tri-Valley Opportunity Council. Our foster grandparents assist our teachers in the classroom with various tasks from grading papers to helping a student with an assignment.

We also have several fundraisers during the year which require some helping hands:

Calendar Raffle

Every August tickets go on sale for our Annual Calendar Raffle Fundraiser. Tickets are only $25 each with a drawing of one winner per week. Three End of the Quarter winners each receive $250 and one end of the year winner of $500! Our students draw the lucky winners each week throughout the year.

Thanksgiving Pie Sale

Every year the weekend before Thanksgiving our Parents, grandparents and school supporters gather and make over 1,000 homemade Apple, Pumpkin and Strawberry Rhubarb pies in only 2 days! Pies are pre-ordered and cost only $10.

Giving Hearts Day
Thursday. February 9th , 2023

Founded in 2008, Giving Hearts Day is a 24-hour event for charities in North Dakota and NW Minnesota. Each year, Giving Hearts Day provides a platform for charities to fund their missions through an ever-increasing community of donors, many of whom get to experience the joy of giving for the first time.

The longest-running giving day in the country, Giving Hearts Day has helped participating charities raise more than $138 million since its founding. St. Michael’s School has been participating since 2019. This year’s goal is $15,000!

Annual Benefit Dinner
February 5th , 2023

The St. Michael’s School Benefit Dinner is our largest Fundraiser of the year with tickets available in December for $500 each. An elegant meal is cooked and served by our St. Michael’s School parents and students.

Musical entertainment from our students and area artists, a photo booth and a silent auction are just a few of the evenings offerings.

Prizes from the raffle are:

First prize: $8,000

Second Prize: $3,000

Third prize: $1,500
