Nuestra Facultad
St. Michael's School cuenta con maestros certificados y licenciados que continúan creciendo en conocimiento a través de la educación continua en su campo. Los maestros comparten ideas de buena gana y se apoyan mutuamente para desarrollar al niño en su totalidad.
El plan de estudios de St. Michael's School está alineado con los estándares del estado de Minnesota e incluye lectura, inglés, ortografía, fonética, matemáticas, ciencias, estudios sociales, educación física, música, arte, tecnología y religión.
Debido a la excelente relación entre estudiantes, maestros, administradores y padres, el ambiente de la escuela es cálido y amigable. Se puede ver a los estudiantes ayudándose unos a otros durante las lecciones académicas, así como en el patio de recreo.
Sara Chalich
Principal
Sarah Chalich comenzó a enseñar en St. Michael's School en 1998. Enseñó nuestro quinto y sexto grado durante 16 años. En 2014 aceptó el puesto de directora. Recibió su título de asociado en artes de Fergus Falls Community College en 1993; Licenciatura en Artes en Educación Primaria de la Universidad Estatal de Minnesota Moorhead en 1995 y obtuvo su Maestría en Liderazgo Educativo de la Universidad St. Mary's de Minnesota en 2016. Sarah está casada con Steve y tienen 3 hijos adultos. Le gusta estar al aire libre, leer, acampar, pescar y pasar tiempo con su familia.

Ms. Nirschl graduated from MSU Moorhead with an Elementary Inclusive Education and an Academic and Behavior Strategist degrees. What does she Love about teaching? "I love teaching using creative ways to learn any skill in school for fun interaction and growth for students." She did so well with her students during the 2025-26 school year. Every student showed they were ready for Kindergarten after end of the year testing!
Melissa Calo

Melissa comes to us from the Phillipines with a Masters Degree in Education and 10 years of teaching experience.
She LOVES to teach students to Read!
Her first year at St. Michael's School showed how truly amazing she is! Excellent classroom management and discipline alongside every student reading by the end of the school year.
She loves her students and shows
patience at every turn.
Debra McNamee
Maestra de primer grado
Debra se graduó de St. Catherine's University en St. Paul, MN con una licenciatura en Educación Primaria en 1983. Está casada con Dan McNamee, un agricultor local, y juntos han sido bendecidos con 4 hijos y 5 nietos. Su área de estudio favorita es la ciencia, ¡pero ahora le intriga enseñar lectura a su clase de primer grado!
Haley Rasmusson
Maestra de segundo grado

Maestra de tercer y cuarto grado
Jane obtuvo su licenciatura en Educación Primaria en la Universidad Estatal de Bemidji en 1980. Está casada con Steve Kozitka y juntos tienen 3 hijas y 3 nietos. Su las materias favoritas son lectura, música y arte.
Juanita Zimmerman
Foster Grandparent
Juanita came to Mahnomen as a High School Spanish teacher where she taught for 30 plus years. After retiring from the public school system, she chose to fill a full time substitute position in Kindergarten which turned into 5 years of teaching at St. Michael’s School! She is now fully retired from full time teaching but chooses to volunteer as a Foster Grandparent! She will be helping to tutor our Spanish speaking/English learning students and helping teachers in the classrooms where needed. She is married to David Zimmerman, St. Michael’s School Alumni, and they enjoy riding motorcycle and spending time with their 2 adult children.
