St. Michael's School is a not for profit 501(C) status organization dedicated to providing child centered educational, recreational, and mental health services. It is accredited by the Joint Commission of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and Council on Accreditation (COA). St. Michael’s is licensed by the Department of Public Welfare, Office of Children, Youth, and Families, Office of Mental Health and the Department of Education. As a tribute to its history, St. Michael’s remains sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese. Services have been designed to meet the mental health needs of adolescents, ages eleven though eighteen, on various disciplines. Across the continuum of services, St. Michael’s states a 139 bed capacity to meet mental health needs. Referrals are considered without regard to race, ethnic origin, cultural diversity, religious creed, economic status or physical disability.
