St. Michael's curriculum and programs of services provide students with the daily opportunities for success in academics and social interaction designed to promote positive physical, emotional, and social growth. Emphasis has been placed on awareness of each student’s right, dignity, self worth, unique potential and individuality.

When a student enters St. Michael’s Education program, academic proficiency tests are carefully assessed. The STAR Reading and Math tests are administered and information obtained from the previous school placement is reviewed and a determination is made to place the student in an appropriate educational setting. Students with grade appropriate skills are placed into the regular education classes while students in need of support services are placed into a special education class which can best serve their needs. Remediation services are available as well, in content areas.

Our professional and supportive teaching staff are licensed and certified by the PA Department of Education in their areas of concentration, Special Education or both. They are dedicated to providing a rich and rewarding educational program and credits for a child’s continuing educational processes towards high school graduation.
