St. Michael's School

Our Community Partial Hospitalization Program affords clients the opportunity to utilize the wide range of educational and therapeutic services available within St. Michael’s service delivery system while maintaining the child within his family or a community living program.

St. Michael’s Community Partial Hospitalization Program is conducted Monday through Friday. Each program day, child care staff transport students to St. Michael’s School. Providing transportation, with the vehicle stopping at each student’s home, allows an opportunity for direct contact between program staff and the student’s family. Additionally, during the ride to school, program staff are able to observe a student’s behavior and interaction, and whenever necessary, share observations with the treatment team.

Students participate in an approved and licensed educational program, which is designed to meet their individual academic needs. Students participate in all required subjects.

Mental Health Workers will be available within the classroom to provide necessary help with any behavioral difficulties. In addition, each student will be assigned a primary counselor who will facilitate group and individual counseling sessions. The primary counselor will also provide family services and agency contact when applicable. Students will also be seen by an on grounds psychiatrist on a regular basis.
